Make Dog Smile

Submitted by Michael Adams on April 22, 2010

Dogs are wonderful animals and are great to have as pets as they bring a lot of happiness to you and your family with their warm and friendly appeal that is charming to even the most ungrateful hearts. When they bring so much of joy to your life, it is your responsibility to keep them happy too and make dog smile. This is in fact not a tough task at all because dogs are very affectionate and the bond that you share with your dog will determine how quickly you can light up your dog’s face.

Different things will bring a smile on your dog’s face but a few basic tricks are always useful. Most dogs love to go for a walk or run with their owners and this could be a small walk around the corner or a long stroll in the park. Playing a game or giving them a new toy to play with also does the job since they love to play and run around.

A simple game like throwing a Frisbee or a ball and asking your dog to get it can bring a smile on his face.

Treating your dog with a favorite snack is the best way you can see the happiness glow in their eyes. This snack can be anything and depends on what your dog likes the most like a bone, cookies, biscuits and so on. Sometimes a little bit of love and affection from you is all that they need and a simple rub on their belly, ears or a hug from you telling them how much you love them can make dog smile. Give them a nice long bath in the tub as some dogs love it and at the same time, you are also getting to spend quality time with your dog. If your dog is alone at home most of the times, giving him some time to socialize with other dogs where they can play and roam around can make him happy. A massage once a while can work wonders if you want to see that smile on your dog’s face and doing this is not very difficult. Making a great bed for your dog to sleep in that is warm and cozy could be another way to make him smile. Make sure that your dog is healthy by giving him the right food and take him to the vet on a regular basis.
