If you live in an apartment, then make sure that you take your pet out for exercise daily. Cocker Spaniels are very active and need about three walks per day, unless of course, you have a yard where it can play.
Before you get a puppy home, make sure that you read enough about the breed. You should speak with other people who have Cocker Spaniels, and buy a few books about dog training and dog behavior.
