    Dog Health Foods

The average known dog, which does not suffer from diabetes, or is not overweight, or underweight, or have any other kind of serious health issues, may be fed with freshly made home foods quite easily.

A healthy dog food is beef stew for the dogs. This can also be made in lamb. This is a healthy homemade dog food and can be served up quite easily in one’s kitchen.

This is a part of the healthy dog food recipes and is made with one lb of lamb or beef, 3 carrots, 3 potatoes, a couple of tablespoons of olive oil, a couple of pints of either beef broth or chicken broth and 2 to 3 celery sticks. The recipe to make this which is one of the healthiest dog foods is by first browning the meat in sauce pan with the 2 tablespoons of oil. Cook the pieces until they become brown.

Next stew the meat parts in the broth for about 45 to 50 minutes. Finally add the vegetables to this dish and cover the vessel. Let this mixture simmer for another 45 minutes till all the pieces have softened. Once the dish has cooled you can serve it up.

Among the healthy dry dog food recipes a very common dry dog food recipes involve combining different kinds of flours, approximately 4 to 5 cups of this, along with about 3 to 4 tablespoons of olive oil, a half  cup of some brewer’s yeast, one cup of some non fat milk powder, an egg and about three to four cups of water. Mix together all these ingredients to form the dough. Then proceed to spread this dough over 2 to 3 cookie sheets and then let them bake for approximately 45 minutes at around 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Break the cookies into smaller pieces and then keep them stored in any container which is airtight. Some dogs can suffer from various allergies that are often related to kibbles. Some alternative dog treats include making dog biscuits from a single cup of some rolled oats and also a cup of some coarsely ground up and rolled oats. You can further add a tsp. of some flax seed, a quarter tsp. of baking powder, a tin of tuna and 4 to 5 tablespoons of water. Bake this mixture on a cookie sheet for nearly 20 to 25minutes at 350 degrees Fahrenheit. It is ready to serve when cooled.
