One such homemade peanut butter dog treat recipe is to mix together two cups of flour , 1 tablespoon of baking powder and a ¼ cup of brewer’s yeast together in a large bowl .

Thereafter one should mix one cup each of milk and peanut butter in a different bowl and keep stirring till the peanut butter dissolves completely in the milk and there are no lumps found. Once mixed thoroughly the peanut butter and milk mixture needs to be added to the flour mixture bowl while gradually stirring it in till the liquid is completely absorbed by the flour to form a dough-like mix. This mix should then be poured onto a clean counter and kneaded till all the ingredients are combined well. Thereafter one should simply roll out the dough and it into shapes with a cookie cutter and bake these cookies until golden brown. These cookies can then be stored in zip bags or plastic containers after they have been cooled to room temperature on a cooling rack. One may also double the quantity of all ingredients in order to make a larger portion of cookies or for household that has more than just one dog. A fun touch can be added to these peanut butter dog treats by using a bone shaped cookie cutter which is easily available. When dealing with doggy treats it is important to remember that dog treats should be given to the dog occasionally and should not completely replace any of the dogs meals as they may not provide the dog with all the essential vitamins and minerals required for the maintenance of the dogs overall good health.
