Fighter Dog Breed:

Even though a dog is a man’s best friend sometimes this friend could exhibit an aggressive behavior which could make a person think otherwise about choosing the dog as a pet.



The aggressive behavior is totally dependent on how the dog is trained however, the temperament of the dog, and the way the dog has been treated also plays an important role. Fighting dog breeds are used in protecting humans and fighting other animals also in the past they were used as war dogs or as property guardians or even for hunting. Another activity is a dog fight which was a very popular sport in England in the 19th century.



Fighting dog breeds were used for different purposes such as, as war dogs, hunting dogs, fights against bears and lions, chasing and killing rats as well as fights against other animals. Here is a list of fighting dog breed-

The American Pit Bull Terrier, which is a medium breed dog is aggressive by nature and has very powerful jaws that are strong enough to pierce through the skin right through the bones of an individual. Chow Chows are very stubborn fighters by nature.



They not only fight with strangers but with dogs of same sex as well and other pets. Caucasian Ovtcharka were earlier used to protect their masters’ properties, to guard the livestock, kill predators such as wolves and bears and for other responsibilities. Its fighting strains are derived from its blood of some European breeds like mastiffs, American pit bull terrier and bandogs. Fila Brasileiro another from the mastiff family is a great guard dog and very aggressive in nature. It even shows aggression on the judges of a show ring. The Presa Canario is very well know since its birth in the 18th century as a guard dog, for the holding and driving of livestock, and exterminating wild or stray dogs. Tosa Inu a massive dog is a large dog breed standing over 30 inches tall at the shoulders and weighs up to 150 pounds. Due to its built it is known as the Sumo Wrestler of the Canine world and is considered a national treasure in Japan. In any fight this breed makes an unforgettable and commendable impact.

Using a dog to fight is always dangerous and is considered as illegal in most countries as it is considered to be a blood sport.  Also, it is difficult to say which dog is the best at fighting unless he has performed at a competition.
